For Richer, For Poorer

Love is patient and kind; love does not envy or boast; it is not arrogant or rude. It does not insist on its own way; it is not irritable or resentful; it does not rejoice at wrongdoing, but rejoices with the truth. Love bears all things, believes all things, hopes all things, endures all things.
1 Corinthians 13:4-7

You are about to marry someone with a strong work ethic; You can trust him or her to work hard at a job, or in the home; You are also ready to leave the established lifestyle of your parents to pursue your dream. This is the Marriage Vow you stated before God, family, and friends:
"I, (name), take you (name), to be my lawfully wedded (wife/husband), to have and to hold from this day forward, for better or for worse, for richer, for poorer, in sickness and in health, to love and to cherish; from this day forward until death do us part."

Prayer for the day:

Lord, thank you for your Word that reminds us that your love has supremacy over every other gift. Help the couples with their current relationship situations. Remove all the pains and hurts in their hearts. Fill them with love, joy, patience, and understanding. Bless them so that they may never surrender to whatever challenges that come their way. Teach them to make their complicated relationship become uncomplicated. Guide them wherever they go and lead them not into temptations. Bring them together in their hearts, minds and bodies to serve you wholeheartedly as a team. May they remain strong in their marriage and grow wise in their relationships. Thank you and bless you in Jesus' name, Amen.
