Sharpening The Tools

If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed, but skill will bring success.
Ecclesiastes 10:10

“People who have fully prepared always save time. Albert Einstein was right to teach that if he is given six hours to chop down a tree, he would spend the first four sharpening the axes. When you are done with your action plans, work will be easier!” -Israelmore Ayivor

Prayer for the day:

Lord, I am often being reminded by your Word in 2 Chronicles 7:14 that “ if My people who are called by My name will humble themselves and pray and seek My face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land.” Yet, I realise that I don’t take time to read your Word and start my day with prayer and end my day with prayer. I’m way too busy throughout the day with too many things on my mind that taking the time for even a short prayer in the midst of my busy day is beyond my thoughts. I worked so hard and accomplished so little. Today, I repent before you in humility to receive your cleansing, refreshing and fellowship. Teach me to pray and guide me to be diligent in reading Your Word. I know If I spend the time sharpening my tools, I will be able to do Your work so much more efficiently and effectively. I thank you and bless you in Jesus ‘ name. Amen.
